About AeroSavvy

AeroSavvy is written by Ken Hoke. Since 1984, Ken has loitered the skies in many aircraft, including the classic Douglas DC-8. He's now retired after flying the skies of the US, Asia, and Europe as a Boeing 757 and 767 captain for a package express airline.

ISS Pass over Louisville: I grabbed my tripod and iPhone and took 3 shots using NightCap in ISS mode. The first image also captured a high altitude airliner passing left to right. Rainy day in Lexington, Kentucky. I taxied by this Dubai Royal Air Wing 747-400 VIP Bigtop. Most likely here for the Keeneland September Yearling Sale. 🐎 Had a nice fuel & bathroom stop at Lowe Aviation in Macon, GA on our way home from Kissimmee. Anchorage International is one of the busiest cargo hubs in the world. Find out why so many flights visit this amazing place! Flew through the Gainesville Presidential TFR about an hour before it activated Saturday morning. Flew the Cherokee Six to Kalamazoo, Michigan to see the AirZoo museum. Really cool place with its own general aviation parking! Happy New Year! May all your 2023 landings be smooth and on centerline. 🎊 Night landing currency in the Cherokee Six. UPS 757-200PF (Package Freighter) cockpit.
